Thursday

Where did the time go this week? No exciting news today other than I successfully completed my second training session with Sharon this morning. What was I thinking, weight training first thing before breakfast?

I finally finished a hike other than stop sign today, Chuckwalla. We stopped at the top to take in the view and then made our way back to the shuttle. The entire round trip was about six miles and included quite a bit of sand along the way (sand = red socks).

The notables on today's menu included a Greek Pita sandwich with Sweet Potato Soup at lunch, both of which were quite tasty. This will definitely be one of the recipes I'll attempt at home.

Our afternoon training sessions included Ball Works, Treading and Stretch. I know I pushed myself in Treading today, burning almost 400 calories (I definitely felt the burn). The Polar watch was definitely a good investment.

As was the case last week, Lisa Jean Jewelry will be on display this evening. I splurged last week so I'll try to be good tonight, but no promises. I'm off to do some shopping.
